2026 Gladiator Towing Capacity and Performance
Every Gladiator comes standard with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that produces 285 horsepower. It pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission and comes standard with four-wheel drive. The Gladiator is often longer than folks expect, with a wheelbase 19 inches longer than a Wrangler. This changes driving dynamics a bit, but it still drives more like an SUV than a pickup truck. It’s capable of towing up to 7,700 lbs, but that requires the optional 4.10 axle ratio. Without that, capacity drops to 4,500 lbs. The max payload rating sits right at 1,725 lbs.
