New RAM 1500 Ramcharger for Sale at Bob Moore CDJR OKC

Ram’s newest nameplate isn’t all that new at all! The 2026 RAM 1500 Ramcharger is set to make its debut soon, inheriting its name from the Dodge SUV from the 1980s. While the name might be familiar, similarities stop there, as the Ramcharger is neither an SUV nor a Dodge. The Ramcharger represents the RAM 1500’s first venture into the electric space, and will offer a plug-in hybrid alternative to the traditional gas 1500. When you hear plug-in hybrid these days, you often think of SUVs that get 30, maybe 40 miles of electric range before switching to gas. The Ramcharger defies expectations and pushes the industry forward, offering 145 miles of all-electric driving range before switching to gas. This shift in the Ramcharger’s design helps deliver the best range in the class. The Ramcharger is everything you want from an electric truck. Efficient enough to where you can go all day without using gas, but versatile enough to travel all day without needing to fill up your tank. The new RAM electric truck promises to elevate EVs and hybrids to a new dimension, offering an experience that no one else can replicate. 2026 will be the first year of production for the New Ram 1500 Ramcharger. Ramcharger Charge Range and Towing Capacity

The Ramcharger’s powertrain is a little different—the 3.6-liter V-6 doesn’t directly drive any axles. Instead of providing power to the wheels, it sends power to the Ramcharger’s battery to act as a range extender, converting the energy into electricity. From that point, the battery supplies power to the front and rear electric motors, enabling standard all-wheel drive (AWD). All told, the Ramcharger gets 647 horsepower and 610 lb-ft of torque. It also runs from 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds. The Ramcharger can also support a max towing capacity of up to 14,000 lbs and a payload of up to 2,625 lbs. 

With the unique powertrain configuration, the Ramcharger achieves a max electric range of 145 miles, drawn from a 69.7 kW battery. That’s much larger than the batteries you’ll find in other PHEVs, more comparable with the battery you see in straight EVs. When combining the electric and gas powertrains, you can achieve a maximum driving range of 690 miles. The next closest EV to that figure is the Lucid Air Grand Touring, which is still 170 miles behind. The PHEV Ram 1500 is capable of DC fast charging, and it only takes 45 minutes for the battery to get from 20 to 80 percent. 

New Ramcharger Configurations and Trim Levels

In its inaugural year, the Ramcharger will come in a single configuration: a crew cab with a 5’7” bed. As production continues, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the Ramcharger add more bed lengths and cab options, aligning with the gas-powered RAM 1500. For this production cycle, the Ramcharger comes in three trim levels:

• 2026 RAM 1500 Ramcharger Tradesman
• 2026 RAM 1500 Ramcharger Limited
• 2026 RAM 1500 Ramcharger Tungsten

At the time of this publication, we are still several months away from the Ramcharger being commercially available, so we do not have confirmed MSRPs numbers. We would expect to see it start close to the $60,000 mark. While we believe it will qualify for at least a partial EV tax credit, that will be confirmed closer to the release date. Expect the Tradesman to be a reasonably basic work truck, the Limited to have some more amenities, and the Tungsten to rival any luxury sedan on the market. 

RAM 1500 Ramcharger Technology and Features

As you might expect from an EV of the Ramcharger’s ilk, it comes loaded with plenty of display screens. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster dominates the driver display, while a 12 or 14.5-infotainment display sits beside it and houses most of your controls. If you want additional screens, a 10.3-inch passenger display screen can also be optioned. We expect it to be able to mirror displays from gaming devices, phones, and tablets. The Ramcharger will also house two wireless phone chargers up front. You can also select to add an optional digital smartphone key, allowing for remote start, lock, and unlock. Ramcharger Release Date and Pre-Orders

When it comes down to it, there are only three things you need to know about the Ramcharger. It can tow up to 14,000 lbs, it has 145 miles of electric range, and can travel 690 miles on one tank of gas. There’s not another truck on the market close to touching those numbers.
