Few cars have stood the test of time since the Jeep Wrangler. With roots dating back to the Second World War, the Wrangler’s legacy is unmatched in American culture. As the Wrangler has evolved through the years, so has its following. Whether you’re in it to go rock crawling, mudding, or to collect rubber ducks, buying a Wrangler doesn’t just mean you’re buying a car. You’re buying into the Jeep community. The Wrangler ethos is embodied by the Jeep Wave, the wind in your hair, and the memories you’ve made driving it. At Bob Moore Jeep dealership, we want to help you get the most out of your new Wrangler. We’ll walk you through everything you need to know about our best-selling Jeep, from the Wrangler packages to the cargo space. If you’re shopping between the Wrangler and the Ford Bronco, visit our Jeep dealership in OKC to test drive a Wrangler today!
Most folks will find the 3.6-liter V-6 engine plenty powerful to fuel all their excursions. It produces 285 horsepower and is paired with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. If you’re looking for more power, the 6.4-liter V-8 is available on the Rubicon, making 470 horsepower and pairing with an eight-speed automatic transmission. If you don’t need all those cylinders, an optional 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder makes 270 horsepower, while a plug-in hybrid Jeep Wrangler 4xe makes 375 horses. We cover the hybrid Wrangler in a separate breakdown. As you expect from a Wrangler, four-wheel drive is standard across the board, with a range of features that help make it a champion in off-road environments. When properly equipped, you can eek out 5,000 lbs of towing capacity from the new Jeep Wrangler. To test drive a Wrangler, visit Bob Moore Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM.
The Wrangler is still offered in two configurations. A classic two-door option is available for purists, but if you prefer more cargo and passenger space, the four-door option is the better choice. The four-door Wrangler has 31.7 cubic feet of cargo space in the trunk, but that goes up to 72.4 cubic feet of total cargo space when you fold the rear row down. The gas Wrangler is offered in six trim levels:
As you’d expect from the Wrangler, it’s available in a hard top or a soft top, but no matter which configuration you choose, you’re always able to remove the doors and the roof. If you’re looking for some extra features, the Willys is a great place to start, offering 17-inch wheels and 33-inch all-terrain tires, a locking rear differential, and plenty of other performance-minded features. As you start going up the trim levels, you’ll find the Wrangler is equipped with increasingly luxurious features, from extra technology to heated seats.
