Electrified Performance
Powered by a 2.0L I4 DOHC direct-injection Turbo PHEV engine, 17-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, regenerative brake booster, and eight-speed automatic transmission, the 2023 Wrangler 4xe offers drivers an incredible amount of torque through each wheel. The Wrangler 4xe is the industry’s first PHEV with Front and Rear Locking Differentials allowing drivers to distribute the 470 pound-feet of torque evenly on their off-roading adventures. The Wrangler 4xe is built with standard four-wheel-drive and three E-Selec driving modes. E-Selec driving modes allow drivers to shift between Hybrid, Electric, and E-save modes, depending on their driving situation. The Electric mode uses only battery power for low-emissions or a quieter off-roading experience with maximum torque. The 2023 Wrangler 4xe Electric mode allows up to 21 miles of electric-only range. The eSave mode reserves battery power for later, while the Hybrid mode combines both to create an impressive 49MPGe and 370 miles of total range.
Wrangler 4xe Off-Roading Capabilities
Built standard with four-wheel-drive, Front and Rear Locking Differentials, and plenty of off-roading features, the Wrangler 4xe is an electrified take on the adventure. High air intakes allow you to easily traverse through waters up to 33.5 inches, such as creeks, streams, and puddles. At the same time, precision power steering and a best-in-class ground clearance of 12.9 inches allow for tight maneuvers on uncertain terrains.

On the inside, the Wrangler 4xe is loaded with the latest technology and offers maximum comfort and customization to drivers. The Wrangler 4xe comes in two or four doors and four different roof types: Sunrider for Hardtop, Black Freedom Top Three-Piece Hardtop, Body Color Three-Piece Hardtop, and Sky One-Touch Power Top. Plus, drivers will have the option for half-doors to open up their adventure even more. 4xe models will also see special features such as two vents in the hood to help cool the engine, rock rails, and a red Trail Rated badge are a testament to its capability.
